The methods, rates and terms for the creative services of Alana Studios of Design are as follows:

SERVICES BY BID OR PROPOSAL: For most larger assignments, after a conference between Alana and with the client (or the client's representatives, architects engineers or others) to learn the client's focus, budget and special needs, a specific written bid or proposal for a fixed cost is made by Alana Studios of Design for the specific project. Costs and creative terms and payment periods are always spelled out in the writing.

SERVICE BY TIME-AND-EXPENSE OR "COST-PLUS": In some smaller engagements or where the project engagement is open-ended, clients sometimes prefer a time-and-expense or "cost-plus" proposal which runs until the objective is obtained or, in some cases, is ongoing as an as-used consulting fee. In those instances, hourly rates for creative staff are from $150.00 to $200 USD per hour; Alana's personal rates are between $300 to $500 per hour, with a minimum charge of 4 hours per contract. In some "cost-plus" cases, a flat fee for some portion of services can be combined with a time-and-expenses fee for other portions of the project. All field charges are "to-field-and-back." All charges are itemized, billed and due monthly.

COMPANION TRADES AND VENDORS: On all projects, work by companion trades such as recommended builders, painters, wall and floor covering contractors, architects, engineers and the like are contracted with separately between the client and the tradesperson or vendor. Materials, if purchased by the Alana Studios of Design, are usually at Studio's cost plus 15%. All project out-of-pocket expenses are passed through at cost to the client.

HYBRID PROJECT AGREEMENTS: Hybrid agreements between the above methods are available for larger projects and can be specially negotiated.

GENERAL CONTRACT TERMS AND FINANCING: Under any of the above project contracting systems, above, charges, when they become due, bear a late payment penalty of 1.5% per month until paid. An advance deposit may be requested and usually is on all projects. All jobbers can be or may be directed to be paid directly by the client. Alana Studios of Design accepts all major general credit cards. Employment is by contract only.
